The book has demonstrated key concepts in quantitative poverty studies in developing country like Nigeria. It has significantly outline key issues affecting smallholder farmers. Saifullahi Umar was born December, 22nd 1983 in Basirka Town of Gwaram LGA, Nigeria. He holds Bachelor of Agric (Economics and Extension)and M.Sc. Agricultural Economics from prestigious Bayero University Kano . He is currently working as a Lecturer with Department of Agricultural Extension and Management, Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia.
