As well original compositions by the authors in Bossa Nova, Frevo, Baion, Partido Alto, Afoxé and Chorinho style, the compilation features a selection of classic Brazilian Tangos by Ernesto Nazareth and Francisca Gonzaga. Tim Richards is a well-known Pianist and teacher. He formed the modern jazz group "Spirit Level" in the late 1970s and has been active on the blues and jazz scene ever since, playing at clubs and festivals all over Europe. Tim currently teaches blues and jazz piano at Goldsmith's College and Morley College, London. Two pieces from "Improvising Blues Piano" were selected by the Associated Board for inclusion in their new Jazz Piano syllabus.
